Regina Caeli Academy is honored to be named one of 26 contenders for the 2026 Yass Prize, a
national honor often called the “Pulitzer of Education Innovation.”
The $1 million Yass Prize celebrates education providers that embody the STOP principles: Sustainable, Transformational, Outstanding, and Permissionless education. The Yass Prize seeks to identify, support, celebrate, and expand education organizations that are developing innovative approaches to learning. Read the national press release.
RCA was selected from a national pool of thousands of applicants. From our first hybrid classroom in 2003 to the nearly 1,000 families we now serve across 25 locations in 17 states, our mission has remained focused on providing families with an authentically classical education in the Catholic intellectual tradition—one that honors the God-given primacy of parents as the first educators of their children.
As a contender, RCA now advances to the Yass Prize Accelerator, beginning with a virtual program, followed by an immersive week in Miami and culminating in a pitch competition before a distinguished panel of judges. President and CEO Christopher P. Ice will present RCA’s story on behalf of the families, tutors, staff, and students who make our community what it is.
This recognition reflects years of faithful work throughout the RCA community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share our mission on a national stage.
